Visiting a Church

These are just pictures from a church we visited in the centro of Lima when we were over there meandering one day. I haven’t seen churches like these. Decorated to the ceilings with silver, gold, fake flowers, real flowers, medallions, carved wood, and so on. Most of the churches I have been to in the US are either more modern looking or older but just plain and made out of wood. Then cathedrals in Canada, France, and England that I have seen use the stone architecture of the places as the real attraction (nothing on top of it). However this Peruvian church would probably be quite bare if you took away all of the décor. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed seeing this different type of church, seeing people worship here, and as always taking pictures!
